Louisiana has two types of charter school authorizers, local school boards and BESE. BESE acts as the appeals process for charter school applicants that have been denied by the local school district. If recommended for approval by the State Supt, would you support a Type 2 charter school?
Question 3
One of the most important policy areas under BESE's purview is school/student accountability. Please tell us your thoughts on Louisiana's K-12 accountability standards. We know everyone believes in high standards, so please be specific about what you support or concerns you may have that you would like to be further considered.
